2026 Charitable Beneficiaries:
Our 2026 REX Awards Charitable Beneficiary is the Endowment Fund for Cancer Research at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre with Hold’em for Life.
We can’t wait to celebrate with our 2026 beneficiaries at the REX Awards Gala on June 18 at the Ritz-Carlton.
Founded in 2006, the Hold’em For Life Charity Challenge was created as a platform for bringing industry leaders together for a unique evening of entertainment and fundraising. Hold’em For Life Charity Challenge is an entirely volunteer run non-profit organization that has raised over $64 million to fund cancer research and other initiatives at Mount Sinai Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital, SickKids Hospital, Ronald McDonald House and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Over 85% of all funds raised by Hold’em For Life Charity Challenge have gone directly to fund cancer research and other initiatives.
In 2019, Hold’em For Life shifted its funding focus toward people—the talent and human capital driving new and innovative cancer research in Toronto. This strategic shift led to the creation of the Hold’em Fellowship program. Since inception we have funded more than 360+ Fellowships and anticipate supporting 650 fellows by the end of 2031.
